Use your digital camera to capture a day in the life of an orphan - one child at a time. We'll train you.
You will need the following equipment: a camcorder, a digital still camera if you have one, and a good microphone to plug in and pin on your subjects when they talk to you. You'll also want to bring a small tripod on which to put the camera while you are talking. You'll also want the biggest battery you can find (or at least plenty of spare batteries) to be able to shoot for two days without charging. Bring your charger as well. We will supply the Mini DV tapes, so if you have another format, please bring some media to record onto. Lastly, if you require a special firewire connection to patch to computer, please bring it. We will be downloading the footage you capture for each child, and then use it to make a short video which will roll on their own individual web page. When you hear about how I started in missions video 24 years ago, you will know that you can do it too — and better!
